Have you heard? The Absurd Ladybird book launch is coming to Gullivers!
Join children’s author Sarah Crisp and friends for story time, crafts, creative dance classes and a brand-new nature trail to explore on Saturday 23 September, from 9-4pm.
The Absurd Ladybird book launch will be a day of two halves. The first is a free event, from 9am until 4pm, with colouring, crafts and play in the Gullivers Orchard. Visitors can also explore the new Nature Trail, listen to live music or buy signed books from author Sarah Crisp on the day.
The second part of the day is a ticketed event in the Gullivers Yurt, from 12-4pm. Join author Sarah with the book’s illustrator Lee Dixon and Lizzy from Dorset Creative Dance for a storytime session like no other! Sarah will be reading her new book, The Absurd Ladybird, live in the Yurt. Illustrator Lee Dixon will be running a drawing workshop shortly after. Finally, the session ends with an imaginative, animal-themed dance class from Lizzy from Dorset Creative Dance.
Colouring, crafts and playtime in the Orchard is all free to take part in. If you’d like to join Storytime, drawing and dance in the Yurt, tickets cost £10 per child and include an author-signed copy of the book to take home (rrp £7.99).
Sessions for the ticketed Absurd Ladybird event run from 12-1.30 and 2-3.30pm. There’s a maximum of 16 children per session, so advanced booking is essential.
