Gullivers Deli Kitchen: the renovation
We’re proud to say Gullivers Farm Shop now has an adapted, workable Deli Kitchen.
November 2022 was dedicated to creating an accessible, inclusive kitchen space for our Companions, adults with varying support needs.

Reconfiguring the kitchen means between 3-4 people can be supported in the new space, providing the opportunities to learn additional skills as they help to prep the new menu.
As you can see from the photos, the impact on the Companions has been so positive. Everyone is really getting into the swing of cooking again, which they haven’t been able to do since before Covid.
Creating an accessible, inclusive kitchen space means we can now really showcase the talents of our Companions. When you walk into the Deli Kitchen, you’re instantly greeted by the people we support. Then, as you look left into the kitchen, you can see a hive of activity there.
The Companions are at the forefront of the business again and we couldn’t be happier about it.
Gullivers is an organic farm shop, family-friendly café and biodynamic working farm based in Dorset. We are a social enterprise and a charity – part of Sturts Community Trust – providing support and opportunities to adults with varying support needs.
