Interview: Zoe Newth, Waves to Wellbeing

We have a chat with holistic healer, Reiki practitioner and spiritual life coach, Zoe Newth about wellbeing, the moon and her new women’s circle at Gullivers Wellness Yurt.

Hello Zoe, tell us a little bit about yourself

Hello! I’m originally from Kent, but I moved to Dorset 19 years ago. I live in West Moors with my husband, son, dog Bella and two crazy rabbits (Ninja and Tinkerbell). Honestly, if there is trouble to be made, those two will make it!

I’m a fully qualified holistic crystal healer, reiki practitioner, EFT practitioner, Indian head massage therapist and spiritual life coach.

What do you love about what you do for a living?

I love helping people. I’ve always done it, whether through volunteer work within my community or within my day-to-day healing work.

What inspired you to set up Waves to Wellbeing?

I learned Reiki and Indian head massage many years ago, before I had my son, as something to just use on my family and close friends. My Nana was very spiritual, and when she became poorly in 2021, she told me I had a gift and that I should think about using it within the community.

Inspired by her, and my love of the sea, moons and crystals, I decided to take various healing qualifications and study like crazy. Waves to Wellbeing was set up in September 2022 to help others heal their mind, body and soul.

You run retreats at the Gullivers Wellness Yurt, alongside Reiki practitioner and meditation teacher, Jenny. December sees you launching your new class, Moonlight Goddess Circle. Tell us more about this.

Moonlight Goddess Circle is a women’s circle with a difference. It’s a chance to meet like-minded sisters and go on a journey of wonder to discover the power of the New and Full Moon.

The Moonlight Goddess Circle is a safe, sacred, confidential and non-judgemental space where all women are welcome to come as they are. Each session’s theme is chosen to align with the astrological sign the New Moon is in that month.

What can women expect from the sessions?

A combination of meditation, journaling, intention setting and discussions. My aim is for women to emerge with a sense of inner knowing, nourishment, self-love, confidence, healing and clarity.

When does the Moonlight Goddess Circle start?

Tuesday 12 December at 7.30pm in the Gullivers Wellness Yurt. Bring a yoga mat, pillow, blanket, journal, pen and some water. Herbal tea will be provided as refreshments.
