PUMPKINS
21-29 October
Looking to go pumpkin picking in Dorset? Head to Gullivers Farm in West Moors, near Wimborne, Ferndown and Poole!
GET PICKING!
PYO Pumpkins is a celebration of all things autumn. This year is particularly exciting because it’s the first time we’ve ever opened a PYO Pumpkin Patch at Gullivers! Over the weekends of 21-22 October and 28-29 October, join us for pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, face-painting, tractor rides, fun games, marshmallow toasting and creative play in the craft tent.
During the half-term weekdays (we’re closed Mondays), we’ll be serving up PYO Pumpkins, pumpkin carving, hot and cold drinks, plus seasonal cakes, treats and soup. Don’t forget you can also explore the nearby Nature Trail and Orchard play area while you’re here too.

Bring wellies!
The pumpkins are in the field, and there might be wet weather, so expect mud. Please wear suitable footwear.

tractor rides
(Saturday and Sunday only) – pick-up and drop-off will be available from Gullivers and Sturts Farm, priced at £3 per person. All money raised will go towards a new plough for our farm.
Parking
Due to car park restrictions, parking for PYO Pumpkins will be at Gullivers Farm, Shop and Kitchen. There is a short walk (about 600m to neighbouring Sturts Farm). We have lots of signposts leading the way. There is a crossing at Newman’s Lane, so please be mindful of this and keep children close by at all times.
Food + drink
Our trusty Gullivers trailer will be serving up hot and cold drinks, seasonal cakes, treats and soup near to the Pumpkin field. For a wider selection of hot, cold and deli food (including half-price meals for kids, when purchased with an adult’s meal), head to the nearby Gullivers Farm, Shop and Kitchen.
safety
When you come to the farm, it’s really important to follow the signs and guidelines around the farm. Please ensure you stay in designated areas. If you have children with you, please keep an eye on them to ensure they are safe and respectful of the farm’s property. It will be muddy and uneven under foot at times, so it’s a good idea to wear appropriate footwear such as boots or wellies for walking in fields. Thanks so much for your co-operation.
