Little Elves + Fairies woodland nursery: Seedlings group

Seedlings is a weekly baby and toddler group hosted by the Little Elves + Fairies Woodland Nursery every Monday from 10-12pm. Head to our neighbouring Sturts Farm to find a welcoming space, suitable for under 3s and their caregivers.

Each week there are opportunities for children and their grownups to learn through play and connect with others. We’ll be exploring nature, trying creative activities and having fun. Little ones can tend to the animals at Sturts Farm, help with cooking or making bread and take time to enjoy food together. There will also be dedicated circle time for singing, rhythm and rhyme.

The first Seedlings session is free, please email us to book your free session. The remaining sessions are available as a drop-in (£9 each) or a block booking of four sessions (£7.50 each). This price includes making bread to enjoy together and organic snacks grown on the farm or sourced from nearby Gullivers Farm, Shop and Kitchen.

Here’s what some grown-ups think…

Seedlings is a wonderful session facilitated by a welcoming team. The open play provided plenty of opportunity for imagination and the outdoors grounded both the baby and the toddler. And how fabulous to enjoy the food they had a hand in preparing themselves for snack time! We look forward to visiting again soon!

My daughter had an amazing time at Seedlings. She can sometimes be a little shy, but the group and environment really brought out her confidence. She had a great time, a huge smile on her face and kept talking about her time in the woods. It’s wonderful she can go with her grandparents and really develop that bond with them in such a natural and nurturing environment.

What a beautiful morning we had at Seedlings… my son was very enthusiastic about exploring all the toys and books, but most of all he had a blast making bread and eating the dough! The farm and farm animals were another highlight of the day. We had a fantastic time!

The Seedlings group has a great sense of community and welcoming to all. Very accommodating for tiny babies to toddlers. My 8-month-old enjoyed interacting with other children, singing and visiting the animals. Worth attending. It’s a really good experience for grown-ups and children.
